The IamEnoughDay is a Project Embrace campaign to promote and celebrate self-acceptance and self-love. Many women find it difficult to ditch the weave and sport their natural hair even though they know the weave is damaging their own hair.
So we are calling every woman on the 31st of March to be courageous and ditch anything fake about their hair and go about your business for the day with their own hair.
Be bold and dump the weave because you are enough as you are. You do not need Marcela's or Manpreet's hair to look beautiful. Yours is enough.
What you can do
We hope with this campaign to achieve 3 things:
YES WE MUST, YES WE CAN, YES WE WILL
So we are calling every woman on the 31st of March to be courageous and ditch anything fake about their hair and go about your business for the day with their own hair.

What you can do
- Ask your friends and family to join. #iamenoughday on twitter, Facebook and Instagram with reason's why you are enough, or you can send a message to someone special and let them know why they are enough, of course with #iamenoughday.
- Purchase an I am Enough badge or Tshirt for yourself and/or friend or family to wear on the 31st of March. Remember no fakery for the 31st March, it is a fake-free day.
- We declare 31st March a fake-free day, so whether you have to go to work, do the school run, go for a business meeting, shopping, where ever you have to go, go without fake hair, wear yours and wear it well.
- If you have a young daughter and she normally wears extension braids to school this is the time to show her how beautiful her own hair is. Take off the extensions and let her go to school with her own lovely hair.
We hope with this campaign to achieve 3 things:
- Show women and girls the beauty of African hair, and that beauty is not really dependent on what hair you have on or how you look but how you carry what ever look you have.
- Encourage black women and girls to embrace their hair and avoid the damages often caused by changing and disguising their texture.
- Raise funds for the billboard campaign. We need to put more positive images of beautiful black women with natural hair in the public arena, we are not going cap in hand begging advertisers to feature natural black beauty we are going to do that ourselves because we can.
YES WE MUST, YES WE CAN, YES WE WILL
